Welcome.

I’m Devan Lalas, a counsellor-in-training currently completing a Master of Psychotherapy and Counselling at Western Sydney University. Before stepping into this work, I spent nearly a decade in higher education supporting students through some of the most challenging and formative periods of their lives – academically, emotionally, and personally.

Again and again, I found myself drawn to the same space: sitting with someone one-on-one, helping them make sense of what they were feeling, what they had been through, and who they were becoming. That work is what led me here.

My approach is grounded in person-centred therapy, which means I don’t position myself as the expert on your life – you are. My role is to meet you with presence, honesty, and care, and to create a space where you can explore your experiences safely, at your own pace. I also draw from attachment-informed and relational approaches, particularly when working with patterns in relationships, identity, and self-worth.

Clients often come to me feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected from themselves, or caught in repeating relational patterns. Together, we work to understand what’s underneath those experiences – not to “fix” you, but to help you feel more grounded, more clear, and more like yourself.

As part of my training, I engage in regular clinical supervision and work within a clearly defined scope of practice. This means you are supported not only by me, but by a broader professional framework committed to safe and ethical care.

If you’re looking for a space that is thoughtful, collaborative, and grounded in genuine human connection, you’re welcome here.

I offers both Zoom and in-person sessions in Sydney (Alexandria), NSW.

I am a registered student member of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) and the Australian Counselling Association (ACA), currently completing a Master of Psychotherapy and Counselling at Western Sydney University.

I also hold a Master of Education in Higher Education Student Affairs and a Bachelor of Science in Sociology, with additional studies in Management and Leadership.

What I offer.

  • Individual Psychotherapy

Find steadiness and strength in everyday life.
Life can feel overwhelming sometimes. Whether you're facing anxiety, sadness, burnout, or big life changes, individual coaching offers a supportive space to reconnect with yourself, find clarity, and build resilience.

  • Person Centered Approach

Come home to yourself with compassion and clarity.
In a world that can pull you in every direction, it’s easy to lose touch with your own needs, feelings, and inner wisdom. A Person-centered approach offers a warm, non-judgmental space where you are deeply heard, understood, and supported. Together, we slow down, explore what matters most to you, so you can move through life with greater confidence, steadiness, and self-trust.

  • Relational and Attachment-Focused Support

    Build deeper, healthier connections.
Our early experiences shape how we relate to others. Coaching can help you explore patterns, set healthier boundaries, and create more fulfilling, connected relationships — including the one with yourself.

  • Trauma-Informed Approach

    Healing happens at your pace.
Trauma can leave lasting imprints, but it doesn’t define you. In a safe, compassionate environment, we’ll work together to understand and gently heal the impact of past experiences.

  • LGBTQIA+ Affirming Support

A space where you can be your full self.
Your identity deserves to be celebrated, not questioned. I offer a warm, affirming space for exploring gender, sexuality, relationships, and personal growth, without fear of judgment or misunderstanding.
